SPECIAL STUDY OPPORTUNITIES

Independent study--this can be used to do a lot of cool programs that other schools and organizations offer.  By going on an overseas educational trip with an organization as an 'independent study' through your school, sure, you pay tuition on top of travel costs, but you also can access the student loans to pay for travel costs.  See www.christian-muslim.net under 'international opportunities' for details and organizations to travel with.

Seminary based programs--here are a few to get you started, that aren't listed in the ACTS catalog:

McCormick offers semesters abroad in Beirut, Lebanon at the Near East School of Theology (NEST), and at the Han Shin Theological Seminary in Seoul, Korea. (The Korea program may be in transition at this writing).  McCormick students qualify for special scholarships, applications due March 1 of each year.

LSTC offers a year abroad in Wittenburg, Germany at the Wittenburg Center and also in Munich.  Contact Dr. Kurt Hendel (khendel@lstc.edu) for details and any scholarship info.
